We made a software update to eliminate the 4 beat count-in. You may already have it on your 16 Second.

Try this:
1. Push the COARSE slider all the way to its top-most position.
2. Put the 16 Second into either LOOP mode, C or S.
3. While the 16 Second is stopped press RECORD to record a new loop as you would normally. The 16 Second will begin recording immediately. No count-in.
4. Press PLAY or RECORD to end the loop and it will end immediately upon pressing the FSW. Your loop length will be the time between the two FSW presses.

If you try this and still get the count-in then you have the older software.

If you do not have this software, we are running a software upgrade program. Please contact info@sovtek.com for more information. The 16 Second’s software has to be updated in our factory, it is not user-upgradeable.
