I recently purchased one of these on eBay but the sender did not include the adapter, I then noticed the power input was a UK version, I know the power requirements are 12VAC-1000ma but I would need to install a female barrel connector ,my question is if I hardware the power adapter does the orientation of the wires to the circuit board matter? I figure it would not because it is AC ,am I correct in my assumption?
Thanks
Yes, the wire order doesn`t matter.
But: be aware that the power jack needs to be ISOLATED from the chassis!
The 12V AC power jack is the same for all countries.
Those are also known as DIN loudspeaker sockets.
Better attach such a DIN-plug to your power-supply!
