Hello! I have an 8-step Program I control via MIDI. It only has 10 presets available as far as I can tell though. If you connect the other 8-step foot controller (which I don’t have) apparently you the get 100 presets. Currently recalling anything more than 10 via MIDI doesn’t seem to work.
If I buy the controller will it then enable me to recall all 100 via MIDI when connected? Or does MIDI still only support 10 regardless of the remote footswitch?
If that does enable all 100 via MIDI is there any way I can access 100 presets via MIDI without the additional foot controller connected? Not only do I not really need the extra buttons cuz I control via MIDI, but my pedal board is already rammed and short of space so I don’t really want more stuff on it that I don’t really “need”.
Thanks!

According to the manual we should be able to load any of the 100 presets by MIDI CC 118, or by MIDI PC messages. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I’m counting on this working eventually.

Currently the only way to save into all those >10 presets is to use the foot controller (which I don’t want as mentioned above), else send CC117 with a value of the patch to be saved to. That basically means making a dedicated save button for each patch I want to save to on my MIDI controller. If I want a lot of 8-step patches I can edit that’s a lot of buttons dedicated to saving 8-step patches!!! Shame there’s not a “save to current preset” MIDI command. Then you could recall a patch via MIDI, set the sliders and mod it, and just save it back to the same one.

I just wanna be able to recall loads of patterns. Would be great to find there’s also a similar hidden “save to current patch” MIDI CC/value!…
Instructions for changing Global Tempo or Bounce mode:
1. Press and hold the TAP DIVIDE button for 3 seconds.
2. After three seconds, the GL and DIR LEDs above the digit display will light up. Continue to hold down the TAP DIVIDE button during the following steps.
3. The digit display will display the current mode, a number between 0 and 3. If this is the first time you are using this feature, it will display 0.
4. Turn the MODE knob to choose the mode you want, the modes are numbered 0 through 3. Here is an explanation of each mode:0: Global Tempo = OFF; Bounce Mode = 14 Step (This is the factory default, Bounce does not repeat each step at the ends of the sequence)
1: Global Tempo = ON; Bounce Mode = 14 Step
2: Global Tempo = OFF; Bounce Mode = 16 Step (Bounce hangs on each step at the ends of the sequence for two ticks of the sequence clock)
3: Global Tempo = ON; Bounce Mode = 16 Step5. Once set to the mode you want, release the TAP DIVIDE button, the 8 Step remembers the setting in its configuration settings.
