I love my #1 Echo, but pedalboard tetris dictates that the Nano form factor would be ideal.
Any plans to produce the #1 Echo in the Nano form factor? It might become a nice digital sibling to the Memory Toy.
I use my #1 Echo specifically to stagger one stereo channel slightly behind the other using the 100% wet blend, creating a nice suggestion of space/proximity. Need digital for that crisp lossless delay. I also crank the rate knob while playing to get the cool bit-chop/drop effect. (an Expression pedal input would also be nice in that regard). Both these factors make the Memory Toy not ideal for me at the Nano form factor, unfortunately.
One thing I would love to have with the #1 Echo is an effects loop. The #1 Echo’s super clean delay signal could really benefit if there was a cool modulation pedal that effected the input signal pre-delay (or maybe a switch to flip from pre to post-delay?) and of course blend the effects loop with the delay.
This pedal builder creates loopers and a pedal re-sequencing device (see the “flip flop”), and is also very open to discussing mod ideas. You might want to jot down your idea and reach out to him, he’s a great guy.
