Every online retailer that sells the XO Series #1 Echo says that the input and output jacks are connected through a buffer but the EH site says that it’s true bypass. Can anyone clear this up?
I wouldn’t worry either way
the new EHX pedals that use buffers have been very good to me
I curious because I would prefer a buffered delay pedal. It’s the only effect that I run through my effects loop and I run 20 foot send and return cables so I like to have a buffer in there. Anyone know for sure? Gotta find out before I choose one!
I’m afraid I don’t know for sure…..I’d probably go with whatever it says in the ehx manual.
which is.
“When the #1 Echo is in Bypass mode, the OUTPUT jack is connected directly to the INPUT jack.”
it sounds like any input/output buffers are bypassed when the pedal is off to me.
I have this pedal, and can confirm it is definately true bypass by method of a 3PDT foot switch. (have removed the back plate to confirm) The pedal also has that quiet little pop when you switch like all true bypass pedals do…
