Before founding Electro-Harmonix and pioneering guitar effects pedals and before promoting concerts by rock deities like Chuck Berry, the Byrds, and a guitarist who called himself Jimmy James (but later went back to using his real name: Jimi Hendrix!), Mike Matthews was a musician in a rock ‘n’ roll band.
In this one-take recording, Mike got back to his roots with some soulful, improvised piano and vocals. We uncovered it in the vault. It was recorded in1978 at the then Electro-Harmonix headquarters in New York City by Charlie Grable.
