I have a suggestion/request for a new EHX guitar pedal… a dedicated blues harp/harmonica simulator/emulator.
I recently saw a video (actually just heard, as it only contained audio) that demonstrated a blues harmonica sound simulated by using a HOG with a Micro Synth. It sounded incredible.. just what I was looking for. The obvious problem here is the cost. I’m sure these pedals are worth the $$$ based on their extensive features and capabilities… but I don’t have a need for most of what they where designed to do… and I can’t justify the expense of purchasing both pedals to recreate just one style of effect.
The new pedal could be a signal processor focused on specifically emulating this sound.. or it could be a pedal that uses actual blues harp sounds to work more like a Mel9, Synth9, etc..
I feel a dedicated blues harp pedal would be desirable to a large segment of guitar players. Please respond if you agree. I’m ready to order mine today!
I agree completely. I’d definitely buy that pedal. Does anyone know if you can get harmonica sounds using any of the 9 pedals with other ehx pedals??
