Hi,
I installed the latest firmware (v36) to be able to erase loops while standing up.
But I found almost impossible to push simultaneously two switches, when using a pedal board (missing a third leg for that…)
Is there any other way to erase a loop with FW ? (On most pdeals I know, this is as simple as holding a FW for a few seconds)
If you use this pedal live, how do you erase a loop (for exemple, to restart another loop from blank)?
The only way I found is to switch to the next unused bank. But if I also preloaded some banks with loops, this again, becomes difficult to use…
Or is anything planned by Electro Harmonix to fix this?
Thanks,
g.
With the latest version 36 firmware on the 22500:
Erasing Loop A only: requires two feet, there’s no way around it. First press and hold the STOP/TAP footswitch then press and release the LOOP A footswitch.
Erasing Loop B only: this can be done with one foot. First press and hold the STOP/TAP footswitch with the right side of your foot, then press down on the LOOP B footswitch with the left side of the same foot.
Erasing both Loop A and Loop B simultaneously: can be done with one foot if you turn your foot sideways, which I appreciate might not be too easy to do depending on how the pedalboard is set up. Basically you would first press and hold the STOP/TAP footswitch with the heel of your foot then press the LOOP A and LOOP B footswitches the middle and toe sections of the same foot.
One important note, even though the STOP/TAP footswitch must be held down to erase either loop, you do not need to hold it down for any significant time, just press STOP/TAP first, then the other two footswitches.
Thanks Flick for your answer.
Erasing a loop with a simple (one foot) FW action seems a must for a looper, at least for me. Hope EHX will be able to release a new firmware.
Unfortunately for me it was a no go, and I just sold my 22500 today.
