I have had this Micro POG for a couple of years. Bought used, but worked fine until last night. Basically, it does not pass a signal from in to out even in bypass mode. I’ve done some continuity tests because I thought the problem might be a jack or the switch, but have not been able to pinpoint the problem. Is the Micro POG true bypass? If it is, then this is a real mystery. Can anyone help me identify the bypass path so I can at least work out that side of the problem? I suspect that I’m just dealing with a severed connection somewhere.
In normal circumstances, I’d probably just send this in to be fixed, but since I have the technical skills and am on an indefinite furlough, I’d like to take this on myself!
Thanks!
Looking at the instruction sheet and EHX’s latest catalog, only the POG2 is true bypass. The Dry output on the Micro Pog is buffered so I suspect the pedal uses buffered bypass.
Sending the pedal in right now isn’t an option. You might be able to obtain an RA#, but there won’t be anyone to receive the package until it is safe to do so. I have an RA# to send a pedal in for repair, but I was directed not to send it until EHX reopens for business.
Thanks for the reply. I decided to delve a little deeper today. I could really use a schematic but, absent that I believe the problem could be at the voltage regulator at U6 because, well, there are 9V going in and 0V going out. Would anyone who knows how to measure voltage across a live board safely be able to do a quick value check at U6? Sorry if that sort of question is not permitted here.
Thanks!
