Hey all, this is my first time posting, so thanks in advance for anyones response. its greatly appreciated.

My second-hand memory boy i just stumbled upon recently has a distorted sound, more so than i would imagine is normal.

All the pots work fine with no scratchy noise. tap delay finctions fine. everything seems to work and respond but yeah there’s the distortion.. any ideas?
