Hello Ehx, I’m a big fan of your pedals and I have an idea that may interest a lot of people looking to upgrade their rig to stereo.
I absolutely love the memory man legacy of pedals and consider them to be some of the best analog delay out there. I suggest that you create a “Stereo Memory Boy” with two inputs and two outputs. No need for fancy subdivisions, just keep it as simple as the ordinary memory boy, but with stereo ins and outs and an optional tap tempo out.
I am suggesting this because I didn’t see the point of putting a send and return on the deluxe memory boy. If somebody wanted effects on their delay other than the onboard chorus/vibrato, they could just get the canyon or the grand Canyon. Instead, the space taken up by those jacks could be used for Left/Right to make the delay more spacious through a ping pong option, for example. I also think that upgrading the pedal to stereo could make the chorus sound bigger too!
Also, if you ever actually make such a pedal, please keep the design on top as similar as possible to the Memory boy and memory toy pedals. I think the knob positioning as well as the artwork is flawless on those, so please keep this new pedal similar.
Thanks so much,
Yaz
