    I just found a used 2880 but am very disappointed with the sound quality. there is a steady noise and digital brzsl in the background. Could the 28880 be broken? The bypass signal is fine. It only is noisy when recording.

    It should be very quiet.
    What power supply are you using???

    it is a 6,5 V DC with 600 mA
