Part of this idea is from someone else on a facebook forum. Part of it is mine.

The idea is for a pedal that generates expression pedal control voltages depending on input volume, that is dynamics. The pedal would have an input for guitar and two outputs – a “THRU” that just passes the clean signal and an “EXP OUT” that can be plugged into the “EXP” input of a pedal with an expression input.

    For example:

Guitar -> Dynamic Expression Pedal THRU -> Pitch Fork INPUT
    |
-> Dynamic Expression Pedal EXP OUT -> Pitch Fork EXP

Now, the pitch on the Pitch Fork can be controlled by the dynamics of the guitar.

    Another example:

Guitar -> Dynamic Expression Pedal THRU -> The Worm INPUT
    |
-> Dynamic Expression Pedal EXP OUT -> The Worm EXP PEDAL

Now, the range of the chosen effect on the Worm can be controlled by the dynamics of the guitar. That would give you an auto wah, auto phase, auto trem, and auto vibe through the Worm.

    Very cool.

My addition to this idea would be to add a tap tempo output. You could have another output for tap tempo. You can have a tap tempo button on the pedal that works as normal to output a tap tempo, but when you hold the button down, then the tap tempo signal would be generated by strumming the guitar rather than tapping the switch. You could have the tap temp subdivisions built into the pedal to allow subdivision to be sent to pedals that have tap tempo, but don’t have built in support for subdivisions.
