Hi All
Just got this pedal, cool stuff, but scratchy and noisy on certain patches. Anyone else?
Thanks
What settings. One is a heavy Fuzz guitar blended in with a synth and that is noisy like any fuzz ever made
#3. Isn’t a pleasant noise. Like a scratchy pot/static sound.
Can I send to EH for a checkup? Do they do this?
Can you record an example?
Service is at:
info@ehx.com
Also are you using the EHX supply?
sent clip to the ehx email. thanks for the help!
Yeah I just tried this affect out and yes it’s definitely very noisy on some factory presets
Even when I held down the strings as soon as I engaged the pedal effect it made this crazy noise on certain patches very annoying
The patch may be a Fuzz tone. ANY fuzz has noise.
Also there is a compressor built into the Synth9 to even sound out with uneven playing.
Compressors make things nosier when there is no input signal.
ALSO your amp should be set clean.
Synth 9 purchased new, using EHX power supply standard dry/buffered signal into pedal. All patches have a sawtooth/fuzz characteristic. This was a replacement by MF for the 1st one that was DOA. On my board for awhile, rarely used. Kind of figured that was “on purpose” until I started watching the videos. Keeping me from buying a Bass9 because I have seen one post elsewhere that calls out “distortion” for complex signals, like chords or finger-picking note “overlaps”.
