Hello EHX community. I just picked up the EHX 95000.

I want to be able to set a 4 bar loop using quantize mode.
I am able to set the first track to 4 bars.
I need some time to stop the recording after the 4th bar is finished to stop the recording.
When I try this it automatically partially overdubs what I want bars 1 – 4 with the the silence or the time it takes for me to stop the recording, which happens in bar 5, which I do not want. Even if i hit the record button in bar 5 beat 1 or 2.
I would get piece of bar 5 replacing that time for bar 1.
I have set the dub feedback level to 0.

I basically want to turn overdubbing off.

I would really appreciate help on this. If this cannot be done I will have to take the looper back.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Warmly,

    A. Cannonier

It sounds like you are pressing the PLAY FSW to set the loop length. Instead try pressing the RECORD FSW to set the loop length.

When you press the PLAY FSW to end a New Loop recording, the 95000 immediately begins overdubbing onto Track 2. The extra bit of audio that you played during bar 5 is actually recorded onto Track 2 during the loop’s bar 1.

I was pressing the Rec FSW. But i do understand what the issue was.

The instructions in the manual for the quantizing are only for the first track when setting the loop length.

    7. Stop recording by pressing either the
RECORD or PLAY footswitches. Press RECORD
or PLAY within the first 2 beats of the
current bar and the 95000 will truncate the
loop length to the end of the previous bar.
Press RECORD or PLAY during the 3rd or 4th
beats of the current bar and the 95000 will
finish recording the current bar and then
stop recording. For example, if you want to
record a 2 bar loop, you can press the PLAY
button during the 3rd and 4th beat of the
second bar or within the first 2 beats of the
third bar. The QUANTIZE button will blink
rapidly until the loop has finished recording.

So I put the DUB back to 10 on the other tracks and it gives me the desire effect.

    Thank you.
