Hello;
I m new to the V256 and my english may not be perfect; so; sorry in advance for that
So; I just got the V256 Vocoder; I plug Mic and acoustic guitar into the V256 and connect the outputs to my Behringer XR18 Mixer. The mix goes into my earphones. I connect everything as described in the electro harmonix manual here:
https://www.ehx.com/products/v256/instructions
I get a wet vocal signal from my mic, with all the fx, pitches, presets etc…everything works fine.
But the guitar just “runs through” the V256 and it doesn’t do anything to my vocal pitch when playing the instrument and singing into the mic at the same time. But that s what its supposed to do, right?
What am i doing wrong?
TX so much in advance
Anyone pls?
Am i Doing something wrong or is the vocoder broken?
Is there a tutorial?
Tx a lot
The V256 has a built-in synthesizer that allows you to use it when no instrument is connected. If you want to use your own instrument to control the pitch and create vocal effects turn the PITCH knob down to its fully counter-clockwise position. In other words, turn the PITCH knob all the way down to zero. When you turn PITCH down, it mutes the internal synthesizer so that only your instrument is used to create the vocal effects and control the pitch of your vocals. You might also need more volume than normal from your guitar so make sure you have a good, loud, strong guitar signal going into the V256.
