How can we sync a beat coming from a beatbuddy with a time signature of 6/8 or anything different from the standard 4/4 in a 95000 looper ?
The 95000 allows you to set the number of beats per bar but each beat is 1 quarter note. So you have the choices of 1/4 to 8/4.
For something like 6/8 time, the 95000 will really need to be set for 3 beats per bar or 3/4. Here’s how to change the number of beats per bar:
1. Go to an empty loop number. If you perform the following steps it will be remember for all future New Loops that you create, until you change it again on empty loop.
2. Press the PAGE button until the BARS/BEATS LED is lit.
3. Press and hold the VALUE knob for a couple seconds, until you see the display show “BARx” where x is a blinking number. By default this number is 4.
4. The blinking number represents the current number of bars per beat.
5. Turn the VALUE knob until you see the number that you want to set the 95000 to. In your case, you probably want to set it to 3.
6. Press and release the VALUE knob to enter the number and exit the BAR screen.
7. Now when you make a loop, for each bar, the 95000 will count the number of beats that you just set it to on each bar.
