This gear is very usefull for violin. I search a tone for play from rock to heavy metal and after test 4 o 5 diferent pedals this one was the winner.
Pro:
-Can play double strings
-Sharp tone
-Good dynamic response
-Well response to vibrato. (change the sound to one more similar to bending sound, in a very agresive
vibrato)
-Easy to control. Easy to dial
-Awesome sound in D and A string
Cons:
-Bypass pedal. It sounds better after a buffered one ( opinion)
-After A4 (played in E string) The effect of the pedal becomes weaker
TIPS:
-After a few hours using it I realize that sounds better in a clean chanel ( better than in acoustic )
-As more gain you can dial in your chanel you can obtain better sounds configuration
-If changing from acoustic chanel to clean take away your core sound (loose harmonics) dont panic. Reverb is your new friend.
-The diference between clean and acoustic chanel when you are playing with another instruments are minimized.
– G string better play piano as posible E string ( up to 3º position) play as forteyou can.
– My configuration: Tone Dial from 3 to 6 Sustain 9 or lower
