Hey there
I am using an 8 step with a boss es8 loop switcher.
The es8 is loadiing a preset by sending a midi pc message over.
My problem is that the preset takes some time to load. The new preset number changes on the 8 step, but it flashes for a timebefore it starts.
Is there a way of getting the preset to load instantaneously?
Is there a midi cc value that would start the sequence from the beginning?
That may help me.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Edd
It sounds like you might be loading a preset while the 8 Step is running. If the 8 Step receives a preset update while running a sequence it loads the new preset at the moment it comes to the end of the current sequence.
A preset will load immediately if the 8 Step is not running at the moment you send the PC message.
You can also load a preset immediately if you send the RESET message after the preset PC message. RESET can be sent through either PC or CC. It’s PC number is 101 while CC number is 35, CC value = 127.
Thank you for your help
I will give it go
I have amother issue now.
I have saved a preset by sending a midi clock of 123 bpm, but whenever i recall the preset the bpm is totally different.
Is there a better way to save a bom, or could i even load a specific rate with a midi cc value?
There is no info for what value corresponds to bpm
Again, any help would be great
Thanks
