    I have what appears to be a very early Small Stone, based on the print on the housing, the circuit board, and the pot. This one has just plain black screen print, with the Small Stone in the double lines. The circuit board may have had some repairs, or it could be a super old one, as I’ve never seen another with a large capacitor on the back or the foam padding affixed to the board. The number on the pot is 1377520, so that could make this a 1975 model. I’ve had this one since 1986 or ’87 and am finally considering selling it. Any info on the irregularities on this piece would be greatly appreciated.

    EHX pretty regularly put components on the back side of the boards in the old days, i’ve seen other early small stones with that. They also switched up the silk screens now and then, by any chance does it look like this? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/MKK5ayYYPh8/maxresdefault.jpg

    So yeah it’s an early unit but I wouldn’t say it’s an oddity.
