Hi. I need some help tring to find a part for my holy grail reverb. It is the first one , the big box. I am looking for the potentiometer. I prefer the original one. As I already replaced it with another one and for some reason the new one makes a “shhh” noise between 1 and 4 o’clock. Is not scratchy is a different sound.
If someone can help me I would appreciate . Thank you.
Did you ever find a potentiometer? I need one also for an original Holy Grail. 25K audio taper. Anyone know where to get one? If the replacement does not have the stand-off legs that is okay, I can make it work.
Would a 50K pot work okay? Thank you.
Hi. I got a 25 k pot from ebay. It does not have the legs but I cut the old pot and left the legs on the board. Then I soldered the new pot to the legs. It works now. I would stick with the 25 k value.
Dud you resolve your noise problem you mentioned with the new pot?
Yes and no. This one is working. The old one had no sound around 12-1 o’ clock. But I still have something like a shhhh when moving around 1-3 o’clock. It is not loud but is there. Only when moving the pot. But anyway after 1 it is to much reverb so I am using it more like 9-10 o’ clock. I am not sure if is not something from factory . I would love some input from someone that has a good one and to compare.
Mine does not make any noise when turning the pot.
I changed the pot again with a new one and still does the same thing. I don’t know why is that. It is hard to belive I have 2 bad pots.
Not even at 1 o’cloc? Mine just does something as it goes into a different reverb. I can hear something like a small pop. Hard to describe.
