I’m wondering the same thing. Guitar Center claims the 12TS8 will be available today and the 12VR becomes available on the 27th of February. (In order to see the availability date, you need to select either 8 or 16 ohm and then click on “Add to Cart” for the information to appear.) As soon as Guitar Center opens, I plan on calling them to ask if they can ship the speakers today. If they can, I’m grabbing one.

[strong]Update – [/strong]I called this morning and Guitar Center told me that these speakers will not be available until mid-march.

Ah well, we’ve waited this long, what’s another six weeks or so?

And it’s not like we’re getting any interest from those who might know about this – given we are on the manufacturer’s forum.

I know this post is quite late, but I only picked up a pair of the VR models to try out about 2-3 months ago.

I have to say that I like these very much so far; enough to want another pair. I have them in a 4×12 cab with a pair of off-brand Legends and I like the results. Before, the quad of “Legends” were way too boomy in this particular cab and swapping out 2 of them for the EHX VR speakers really balanced the cab out. So I have another empty 4×12 that soon will get the same matching arrangement.

Sorry I can’t be much more specific about these speakers as I have no way to directly A/B them with any others at this time. I’d like to do that in the near future as well, but I guess my bottom line here is that it was money very well spent and I’m very pleased to have spent so little for a huge improvement over what I had.
