So the volume pot shaft snapped off my Soul Food in my bag.
Bummer. I replaced the pot with a better one and some jumpers to the PCB.
Yesterday, I dropped it while unscrewing the back to put in a new battery and the shafts of the other two pots snapped off.
Please EHX if you’re listening, stop using these cheap shitty parts. I have vintage EHX gear from the 70s that’s built like a tank and still going strong. Hell, I have a couple of Mike Matthews Guild-branded pedals that pre-date EHX. And this Soul Food is less than a year old but has already suffered catastrophic failure.
Anyone have suggestions for pots to use? Esp the double gang drive pot. Or a mod to two pots, one of which would be a blend like the bass SF?

Sorry to hear the pots on your Soul Food are causing trouble. We updated quality of the pots about 8 months ago. When did you purchase your Soul Food or if you bought used, any idea when it was first purchased?
Can’t remember exactly when I bought it but it’s way more than 8 months old .. a good couple of years at least. Serial# begins with 2014, which I’m guessing is the year?

Glad to hear these pots are no longer in use.
Got a source or specs/part #s for the new ones?
