Home › Forums › Vintage EHX › Tracking issues w/ 90s MicroSynths with lower tunings?
Hi all,
I bought a 90s MicroSynth and when playing it on my guitar tuned DGCFAD or CGCFAD, any note played below E artifacts like crazy.. so I sourced out and bought a 90s Bass MicroSynth, and the same issue. Is this normal? Am I crazy? Any insights would be most helpful.
Bit of noob here myself but I have a vintage micro synth (mains powered) and on the back it has a gain pot accessible through the back plate to adjust input gain. I’m assuming with the tunings you suggested you’re using some hot humbuckers too? Maybe try tweaking that pot (if there is one on the 90s version) as this helped a lot with my tracking issues. There’s a calibration guide in the original instructions that may apply?
