    hi, sup!!
I have just purchased the MEL9 ’cause to my mind it fits perfectly to the kind of music we make. However, i have been playing for a while now with a BOSS GT-10 Effects processor, but was not enough and some of the effects don’t convince me at all, like overdrive/Dist. So, i purchased a MUFF effect separately, placing it after the effects processor. I tried the MEL9 as it is recommended, in the first place of the effect chain, but by the time i add, other effects, doesnt sound great and some cut off happened, so, i place it now between the effects processor and the MUFF, sounding to my mind better!
Any recommendation where to place the MEL9 or how to get the most of its performance???
thanks in advance and stay healthy!

Hi Place the Mel9 first and use a clean amp sound with maybe a little compression.
    Reverb helps as well.

Of course anything goes and any/all combinations of effects can be tried, but I think the Mel9 is best left on its own, with the exception of reverb and compression. I run it separately to another amp while using my regular few effects as always. At acoustic gigs I only use reverb so I run the Mel9 through the same amp and mix with its wet and effect volume controls.

    thanks a lot mate!!!
seems that your sound is really clean and immaculate!!!would be class to listen to your band or your music!!!
i have tried the MEl9 after a bounch of effects (reverb, chorus, phaser, preamp, in other words; after the GT-10) and it just went all to pot!!!
i placed it first, then my muff and then the GT10, runs pretty well to my mind!!! the compressor after the Muff sounds class but i must say that the Muff loses a bit of its analog sound when it passes through the GT10 which really sucks!!!
    stay healthy and cheers!!

I have a mel9, when the effect is switched off, there is still a dry guitar signal coming through the effect only out. Is this normal? can it be set to only have effected output when on and simply no sound output when off?
    Thanks

    SUP mate!!!
Totally normal lad!actually it has two outputs the dry (clean guitar) and the Effect one!!!you can turn on the volume of each one separately. But if u switch it off there will be always the sound of the clean guitar, if it doesnt happen, you should give it back ’cause it is not working properly!!
have fun with that awesome MEL 9, i am personally really grateful!!
