Hi , I already own a SMALL CLONE CHORUS.
Another style sound I like to capture is the real annoying sounds of Nirvana In Utero.
Cobain used the Polychorus. To me Flange and Chorus sound very alike. Apparently the key is Massive Delay and Feedback from the Polychorus.
Is it possible to simply mix my SMALL CLONE CHORUS with some type of delay/echo/feedback pedal ?
Is their such a thing ? What would be the best alternative set up for something of this sound ?
February 18, 2016 at 2:28 pm #121274pennyroyaltea94MemberOtherwise what I am saying, what would be a better alternative VS spending $230 on a polychorus.
Could something be mixed with my Small Clone Chorus or is their a cheaper pedal very close to the Polychorus ?
Thanks.

The only thing that might be a contender (other than a cheap BOSS/Ibanez etc. flanger maybe) is the Moog Minifooger Flanger which I see is only $189, not listened to it but might be worth a look.
February 18, 2016 at 3:02 pm #121276pennyroyaltea94Memberok yeah because I had someone tell me both BOSS Flanger won’t do the trick.
It apparently has to do with the Extreme Delay that the Polychorus can do.
February 18, 2016 at 3:28 pm #121277ScruffieMemberDepends on the flanger, some do have a bit of a longer delay, although probably not as long as you really want as the Poly Chorus (the original anyway, can’t comment on the reissue) in chorus mode has about 50mS of delay but that’s not to say they wont get ‘close’ in the type of sound.
You could mod one to have a longer delay fairly easily, if you find a cheap flanger that uses a MN3207 BBD that’s socketed, you could replace it with a V3208 (available at smallbear) to double the delay time quite easily.
The Minifooger IIRC claims up to 70mS of delay hence why it’s probably worth looking at.

Anything close to a ECHO FLANGER as well ?

April 9, 2016 at 12:31 am #121416pennyroyaltea94MemberWell I bought a BEHRINGER VINTAGE TIME MACHINE , It’s a copy of DELUXE MEMORY MAN , Sounds pretty good slighty shy of being slow enough for that wobble, this is what I got with it.
Possible I could mix a Electric Mistress into this mess ? Thanks.

Mix well and let it cook in an aluminum oven for 28 more minutes and go out and spread it in used veterinary syringes on the streets near music stores. That’s all you have to do. When you come back you will get a fine result regarding your personal sounds.
