Hi,
I can’t seem to get my 8 Step to activate the expression functions of my GP10. The GP10 has an expression in jack as well as the onboard one.
The 8 step works with a Boss PS3. A Roland EV5 works with the GP10. Plug the 8 step in to replace the EV5 but no action.
Can EHX staff please confirm or deny if the 8 step is compatible with the GP10?
Thanks
Very odd…
It works instantly with the VG-99 but I can not get it to work with the GP-10.
The VG-99 has a separate exp jack
It has to be a setting thing.
I will try and figure it out.
Or better yet try to contact Boss.
OK it works!
The Boss jack is weird. You have to have the plug only 1/2 way in. Or the first click in.
How weird is that!
Thanks. I’ll try that.
OK. So I hooked up the 8 step to the GP10 with the cable only partially in. It worked but the 8 step generated a trem effect whereas an EV5 creates a wah effect. Very weird.
Same patch. Patch 88. Set for wah on Exp2 input.
Maybe Boss has got some explaining to do.
