Just a quick question for some advice on the Q-Tron.

Im a bass player and would love a really great, versatile envelope filter (I already own a bassballs which i love but id like something with more control), hence why I’m considering a Q-Tron.

Which would you suggest to be the best to look out for? From what I’ve heard the Q-Tron has great reviews but the Q-Tron plus intrigues me with the effects loop option. Is the plus version really any better or should I stick to the original Q-Tron?

Also, should I buy a new XO model or an older style one in the big box metal enclosure? Is there any difference in the circuit or sound quality between the older and newer styles?
