I bought the Soul Food last week and used it for a gig last night. Fantastic pedal. Great job.
I have a question on the bypass. I know it ships in TB and it can be switched to buffered bypass, which is a nice feature. I had someone tell me that he preferred the sound of the buffered setting better than the TB setting [strong][em]with the pedal on[/em][/strong].
Huh? I told him that the bypass setting (TB or buffer) only matters when the pedal is off (bypassed). When the pedal is on, it’s on and the bypass setting is irrelevant. I believe that’s true of any pedal. Am I understanding this correctly?
Peace,
Lp Bruce I don’t have the answer but I followed the thread in that other forum and I’m curious what the nk answer is. I think you are right but don’t know enough tech-wise to be positive.
bump… can anyone validate LP Bruce’s (and my) hunch?
