hey!
i’ve got my sovtek 100h a week ago, i bought i second had. now it’s at my tech to chech the bias, the caps end everything. can’t wait to get back!
can someone tell me the major differences between (“schematic-wise”) the different types like mig100h,u,b. all of them based on the jcm800 circuit?
mine has big red pilot light on the front. can i change it for a green one? – i looks cooler for me. does the regular fender type jewels compatible with this amp?
serial number is 941350 – is it means that from 1994?
where can i found cataloge or something like this about these cool amps?
best regarts from hungary

I play thru the B version as i play bass and love it, gain is alot less than your H the schematic for a few migs can be found here http://www.webphix.com/schematic heaven/www.schematicheaven.com/post70s.html
I have the schematics for the B, and standard 100 both having less gain than yours i’ve never seen a U schematic i’m not sure how it differs from the others. As far as the Green bulb goes you’ll need to size up the hole and find a bulb that will fit they are powered off the 6.3V heater supply. Speaking of which the first 2 tubes are heated by 12V DC and the PI and power tubes are 6.3V AC grounded thru the cathode. I’m using 6ca7 power tubes(mods needed) in mine and love them alot more than the 6l6’s the sound seems so much fuller i think maybe they arn’t as mid scooped as the 6l6’s.

i don’t want to change the entire lamp, only the red plastic cover on the outside. if i twist it it’ll come off. but i’m not sure about that the screw thread of the amp jewel is the same as the fender or other amps.

I tell you what the the green cuts thru the night man stage can be pitch black except on my side that big green bulb just lights it up haha
