What would it take to make good drum sounds with a bass and what combination of pedals? So far I have tried fuzz distortion and reverb. Also I ran a clean sock through the strings to really dampen them. Since drums are the kind of instrument you have to mic to record I though it would be convenient to figure out how to make a bass, or guitar if you like, to record some unusual but interesting drum sounds in a cleaner and easier way. My apologies if this kind of this is a no-brainer or already addressed in other posts.
