I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it to sell my memory toy nano and pick up the Tone Tattoo; I like the fact that the one on the Tattoo has a “drive” knob for the feedback. Plus I am in the market for either the small clone or neo clone anyhow and the Tone Tattoo is like $220…
Anyone else face this conundrum and come out better in the end? What do you suggest? I’d really rather not spend the $220 (plus shipping) if I can get away with just the cost of the new clone or small clone.
Pros of getting Tone Tattoo:
*only one power plug needed
*Drive knob on memory toy
*additional distortion pedal built in
*won’t have to have second pedal’s footprint or patch cable (save real estate)
Cons of switching to the Tone Tattoo:
*have to bother with selling the memory toy, probably at a significant loss
*may not ever use the metal muff (I have a great tube amp, Big Muff Pi, AND the Wampler Pinnacle)
*have to wait for pedal to arrive in the mail
*cost $220 +shipping
*May discover that the drive knob may go unused – or I may just not be that inspired to use it.
Obviously the cons outnumber the pros, but I think the pros outweigh the cons, depending on some very subjective aspects.
In closing, anyone had/have both/all these pedals? I’m curious if the drive knob really is that significant of a feature; I do love the driven feedbacks of my delay, but I’m not sure I love them $220 much lol. Any input is welcome; thanks in advance, y’all!
PS: I play everything from Dream Theater to Jimmy Eat World, Blues, Pop, Rock, Emo, Ambient, etc., if that helps you help me.
