    I’ve been fiending for a decent looper ever since I used and sold my Stereo Memory Man w/ Haz. I sold it in anticipation of ordering a 45000 looper. Then the retailer who was holding one for me informed me that the pedal had to be send back to the manufacturer due to a massive recall over “chassis issues,” and the wait time on a new unit would be in the vicinity of a month.

    Furthermore the only references/reviews I’m seeing to this pedal are just raves from NAMM. Of course, the manufacturer is only going to present perfect units at NAMM.

    Some people are claiming that the new 45000 footswitch is more limited than the 2800’s footswitch, and that the 2800 is the superior unit.

    Did anyone get stuck with one of the defective units? Is that what happened to the user who experienced problems with the headphone volume, etc. ?

    Before I make my decision to go with a 45000, a 2800, or just a TC Electronic Ditto Looper, I want to hear and read some decent testimonials on the 45000’s behalf.

    a new desktop looper will be introduced at the musikmesse Frankfurt (starting on 10/4/13), but not by ehx I think.

    I’m also considering the 45000, but will at least wait one more week :-)

    I just got an email from Roland, so I suppose it is their looper. It doesn’t have footswitches as far as I can tell, so it seems useless live.

    Looking at the different options the 45000 looks like the best if you include the footswitch.

    I hope I get one without the chassis/headphone volume/noise issues

    I ordered a 45000 back in February from Musicansfriend. I don’t know what chassis issue others had, but, on mine the SD card wouldn’t go in straight. At that price, I had a problem with this, so I sent it back.

    In the interim, I talked to a guy from EHX at their booth at the Frankfurt Musikmesse. I had posted my problem on this forum, and someone had mentioned a recall. Interestingly enough, the EHX guy said that they didn’t do product recalls, and he hadn’t heard anything about problems with the 45000. He gifted me some swag and I went on my way.

    Shortly after that I got a 45000 back from MF and I thought it was odd because they were listed as back ordered. Wouldn’t you know, the dingdongs sent me my same defective pedal back. rrrrrgghhh.

    I had words with them, and we made arrangements. Yesterday I got a new 45000. I can say that the SD card problem has been fixed. I haven’t even fiddled with the headphone signal, I run into a monitor, plus a small PA. I also have the control pedal, and am really just learning how to use it. My setup plan is to sync it too a laptop running NI Maschine. The midi sync works “so far”. I thought it locked up last night, but, honestly, I was tired, and it was probably operator error.

    I’ll try to post my progress.

    I took the leap a couple months ago and so far I’m really rather enjoying mine.

    I have to say that it seems pretty sturdy. I played a gig a couple weeks back, and I think that one of the patrons even splashed wine on it, and it seems to work just fine.

    One thing that I do notice about it is that the output seems to be buffered and thus doesn’t not have necessarily the feeling of a “live” performance. I wonder if they could have chosen to go for a higher bit depth say 24-bit as opposed to 16-bit for more clarity in performance. I briefly owned a TC Electronic Looper, and returned it because I thought the output on it was buffered too.

    I have a 45000, second hand, and love it. However it has recently acquired a problem. When I record something it starts a semi-rhythmic buzz-clicking that gets recorded along with the input signal. The rhythm isn’t related to the click track or any of my other pedals…. Has anyone noticed similar or know of a fix?

    Hej there,

    my question is maybe not concerned to the original forum title, but I hope you can help me out. I did order the EHX 45000 and there is unfortunately only a manual in english and spanish which is why I guess I just don’t understand the stuff properly. So here is what I want to do with the looper:

    I want to record one of the tracks longer than the original loop was recorded. So the first track should loop while I record a longer one on top of it. Is that possinle??????

    On the 45000, each loop is made up of 4 mono tracks and one stereo Mixdown track. All tracks for a given loop are the exact same length, they cannot change length. For example if you record a 4 second loop, all tracks within the loop are 4 seconds in length.

    So to answer your question, no it is not possible to record one track longer than the other tracks or to loop Track 1 while you record a longer track on top of it. All the tracks will be the same length.

    TO USER ROOB::: I have the same problem. The noise seems to becoming from the internal clock somehow. Did you every find a fix?!

    What are you powering the 45000 with?

    It’s being powered on my One-Spot…
    Along with a bunch of other stuff.

    Just typing that is making me realize that’s most likely the problem.:roll:
