Hello there – I was wondering if it is possible to use a generic MIDI foot controller (Gordius or FC300) to replicate the function of the HOG footswitch. I read that the HOG and 2880 footswitches are identical apart from the artwork, and the 2880 can, I believe, use a generic controller, properly programmed, rather than the “proper” footswitch so I think it sounds promising, but I was wondering if anyone has done it and how can be done. I bought the HOG a while back, but left the footswitch in the shop, for some weird reason. (Money, probably!)
If anyone could offer help and advice I’d be grateful,
Thanks very much.
Unfortunately no . From the manual, it only takes pitch wheel change data via MIDI.
I have dreamed about a full midi HOG. There’d be some pretty neat things you could do with it, especially if it had both a midi in & out.
