Home › Forums › Ideas / Suggestions / Feedback › EHX PolyHOAX: Polyflange Thoughts – Flanger with FX loop?
Sorry, seems like I’m really getting ideas lately.
I still hope, there will be a new Flanger from EHX.
Ideally a kind of mixture between the Electric Mistress and the Flanger Hoax in form of the Poly-XOs.
So to speak: the Stereo PolyHoax.
We had that topic a few times i think.
My thoughts now – there’s a lot of pedals with FX loops nowadays (DMMTT, DMB, Qballs):
Wouldn’t it be possible to do a flanger pedal with an FX loop, so you could implement a second delay line (or what ever effect you like) to aim at a through zero kind of flange in a normal flanger?
Is there a flanger with FX loop somewhere? I can’t think of one.
O.K. even better of course would be an implemented second delay line you could engage or bypass.
still an FX loop would be great. Think of a flanger into a flanger – sick!
What we need is a new Stereo Flangebeast with loads of possibilities and in form of maybe the polyphase, riddle.
I know there are lots of flanger pedals and Electro Harmonix does a bunch of great ones, but i’d think of a swiss-army-knife-of-flangers!

…and now it’s a must have, that it will have a CV/EP-In.
With the 8 step program you’d have a step-flanger.
please imagine a thru-zero-step-flange in random mode!!!!

sorry I have to bump this again.
Recently I work a lot with the riddle again and it’s just soooo cool to dial in the tone you like with the start-stop dials!
I really wished, there was a flanger like this.
This would give us total control on the sweep and with the implementation of tap tempo and expression input and envelope you’d get the flanger of all flangers.
Of course – it would be the icing on top of the cake if it was thru zero.
I know, if anyone can do it, it’s EHX!
So again – sorry for the bump, but hey!
cheers
