I’m looking for a portable vocoder that I can plug a mic or headset into that does not require an amp for sound. Not really sure if this would work but I was wanting to mount a vocoder inside a helmet as part of a costume and just plug a headset in for robot voice effects. I really like the options with the V256 model and it seems quite easy to use but was unsure if it required an amp. If so, any suggestions as to a different vocoder for my needs? Thanks!
Yep, it needs an amp. Basically any vocoder will need an amp. You could get away with a little 9v mini amp thing for your costume, I know danelectro makes them.
