Hi All!
I own an Electric Mistress flanger pedal from 1980.
Recently my color pot stopped working at all. It spins as before but does not affect the sound and the pedal sounds horrible all time.
It is marked as
PO130
1378004
I checked it with a multimeter.
If I attach it to the contacts at the edges it shows constant resistance of 9k Ohm, not depending on where the knob is.
Is it possible to fix it somehow?
Or which pot is good to replace it?
Thanks!
Pasha
I checked the pot with the multimeter, and found out that the pot is OK.
The pedal produces quiet abit distored and quite flanged signal. And the color pot does not change the tone.
It started to sound like this before, but when i knocked the Color knob a little bit everything become fine. But it does not help anymore.
You might have some broken pads/traces where the pot is soldered to the board.
I don’t know if it might have to do with the trim pot alignments…
There might be something helpful for you here: http://www.metzgerralf.de/elekt/stomp/mistress/index.shtml
