Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Cathedral Reverb HAll Setting popping noise?
When I turn the blend knob at 12 O’clock and beyond on the hall setting there is a popping noise that happens when you play a note. The popping is more noticeable when playing higher strings. I have trieds tweaking the settings but every variation had the popping sound at varying levels, due to the reverb settings. I find it quite annoying and think something maybe wrong with the pedal on this specific setting. Any insights or solutions?
Tried:
-Different amps
-Different cables
-different chain order
have you tried turning down your guitar? sounds like input clipping
I just tried that, didn’t change anything. I also made another observation today. The Pre-Delay knob when turned up produces the delayed guitar sound as it should, but there is also a high pitched screech following that is only consistent in this hall setting. It sounds as if the delayed guitar “cuts out” when the pre delay is high with feedback. Im beginning to think the problem has to do with the pre delayi function because the popping usually comes after the note is hit.
Are you using the supplied adapter for the pedal?
