I’ve recently purchased a used DMM (it’s en route after being calibrated by Analogman) and am trying to figure out when it was made – there seems to be some conflicting info out there.
It has an attached 3 prong AC cord and came with the wooden box; cylindrical, flat top knobs – the seller also stated that the LED switches on and off when the footswitch is activated, but that he thought it was not true bypass as the signal did not pass through when the rear power switch was flipped off. It sports 2 MN3005 chips with no extra slots.
The seller thought it might be an early 2000’s model, but some info I’ve seen seems to indicate that EHX had done away with the attached cord by that time. My guess is that it’s perhaps a 90’s model.
Any ideas?
Close enough.
If you just call it an early reissue it’ll satisfy most people.
My first DMM I purchased was in the early 00’s and had the power adapter, my bandmate had a DMM with the 3-prong power cord that he said he bought in the 90’s. my guess would be the 90’s…
