I was wondering, if there’s a pedal that is able to slow down the signal from the guitar & able to play it back 100% blend but something like 200% slower or faster even?
When I do it via computer I get some mean & scary sounds, like two giant iron ships with the sounds of the hulls creaking or something haha, it’s pretty intense to hear the strings vibrations in slow motion & I’ve been curious about it for a very long time.

But if there isn’t such a pedal I would love to see the day that one is made :)

thanks for your time! // Vidar

the closest you could get to that with hardware [that i’m aware of] is with a pitch shift pedal such as the Ring Thing or a looper like the 2880 [the octave down mode]. With a pitch shifter, the timing would be the same as what you’re actually playing so you’d have to play in half speed [or exaggerated slow motion].

Well in real time you can’t speed up the signal because the pedal can’t know what you’re going to play next.

But a pedal that slows down the signal doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea.

what’d be really great is a delay that lengthens the delay time as the repeat passes over it, like manually turning the knob. I want the slowwwwwwww dowwwwwwwwn sound without the speed back up laser sounds.

thanks! Yeah haha I didn’t mean speed up like that, but imagine looping something & then speeding it up ;) something like that anyways

cant the SMMH as well as other samplers do this all ready? but maybe not very user friendly unfortunately!?

i could swear the first week i had my SMMH, while trying everything out on it and exploring, when using the sampler part of the unit, you could then speed up or slow down the recorded phrase with one of the knobs? as well as maybe the pitch?

you’re right, looked it up & it has a speed knob with basically the thing I was looking for, but it’d be sweet to get a smaller pedal that focuses entirely on speeding up & down loops to extremes. With a good lenght for the loops aswell, mmmmmyum!

that’d be the DOD DFX9 or it’s big brothers the DFX91 or 94. four seconds with the ’94.

I suppose you could try for the DFX98 too but I don’t think that one actually exists.
