    The switch on my hazarai is playing up. I am experienced at pedal building and have a few 3pdt switches around so i am wondering if it can be easy to replace with one of these.

    has anyone tried it or opened the box to look?

    thinking about any other possible modifications as well whilst i am at it.

    oh yeah, super easy. the switch has its own breakout board. desolder, put new switch in, solder, done.

    just tried it. found the desoldering impossible- i haven’t really done much of that before.
    used desoldering braid but it looks excactly the same as when i started.

    any tips?

    keep using fresh areas on the braid until the solder from the joints are completely sucked up into the braid. (set the braid on the joint and heat the braid until the solder flows into it, move to a fresh part of the braid and repeat as needed)

    a de-soldering pump ($5) makes things even easier. just heat the joint and suck the solder up.

    once the solder is completely gone, you’ll still probably have to evenly heat the terminals to loosen any residual solder as you work the switch out.

    Also I used Deoxit of my switch and its been fine for a year now.
    Just spray the back of the switch and it works its way in.
