It says in the 22 caliber manual “input and gain structure was optimized for guitar” not so for the Magnum. I´m going to buy one of them for bass for really quiet bedromm practice. So 22 watts will defentitly be enough if the sound´s right.
I have an Orange Tiny Terror with a 412 cab. Recently picked up a 22 Caliber to use as a second amp hooked to a single 12″ box….lemme tell ya…quiet it ain’t! The lowest volumn on the 22 is quite a bit louder than the Orange…completely different sound but I have to be careful to balance them if I am using both at the same time. It’s a great little box…but I wouldn’t choose it for quiet apartment practising…
