Hello,
This is my first time posting. I just came across this blue face/4 knob memory man and am trying to get it up and running again. The biggest issue is that there is a rather loud oscillating tone that changes as I move the delay pot. I’ve read on other forums that it could be repaired by adjusting trim pots, if so which ones? I cant seem to find a schematic for this particular model.
Also when I opened it up I noticed that there is an RCA chip[CD4047AE] under the delay pot. It doesn’t fit the socket[its a 14pin] and so I was wondering if it should even be there, if maybe someone else tried to replace a chip and used the wrong one and that might be causing some issues?
One final question, is there any modern replacement for the SAD1024A?
Any help would be much appreciated, as I would really like to get this unit functional again.
-thanks
The balance trim is in the lower right hand corner of the board, looking at it from the solder side.
Don’t worry about the oversized socket. That’s normal.
No modern equivalent of the SAD1024A.
