    Hello all,

    I was playing around with it this morning and she just croaked. I stepped on the switch and it started to pop a little and then eventually died. I figured it was the battery, so I tossed in a new one and it worked for a little bit. After it died the second time, I decided to take it apart to see what the problem could be. I started to move the battery around as it was connected and the light would turn on when I moved it one way and off when I moved it the other. Is there a connection that I am missing?

    Sounds like it might either need the battery connectors tightened up or a whole new battery connector.

    My recent hobby has been fixing broken Russian Muffs. I’ve bought 4 black models, and 3 have shown up with big problems (dead)

    Most likely to least likely:

    1. Battery connector needs to be replaced.

    2. a bad input jack can start behaving like that if you’re moving the pedal around while messing with the battery/battery clip

    3. Bad switch. You can check if this is the problem with a gator clip. Wire it to be “always on”.

    4. The electrolytic cap might be dry/toast. That’s the blue or black can the sticks up.

    A common problem with Russian BMPs is a broken trace (commonly at the jacks too)….a hairline crack that you cant see, you need to test each junction/section with a DMM. I’ve had two do this and helped others with theirs with the same problem.
