This is kind of a difficult question to explain, but I will describe it as best I can. Here goes. Please read. I have a Polyflange from 1980 and a Small Clone from 2009. I use these in conjunction with a Boss DS-1 or DS-2, a Delta Labs Rock Distortion, and a Boss NS-2 noise suppressor. My guitar is either a Fender Mustang with a humbucker or a Jaguar also with a humbucker. I use distortion quite frquently, and have noticed that when I engage either my Polylange or Small Clone, my amp’s volume is drastically increased. Why does this happen? How can I fix it? Its so annoying! I don’t think these pedals are supposed to come on this loud. They even boost my volume on my clean channel, which is also annoying. I dont know if it has something to do with my amp, how I arrange my pedals, or how I’m connecting them to my amp, or whatever. My amp is a Raven RG60. It has an effects loop, and I don’t know if that would fix this problem or not. But I don’t know how to use it. I arrange my pedals in the following way. From amp, I go to the Polyfalnge, to the small clone, to the DS-1, to the noise suppressor, to my guitar. I daisy chain them, and hook them directly into the amp. Could this be why its happening? Has anyone else had this issue? Please help me…

Then plug a 1/4 frm the fx send of your amp, to the modulation pedals (chorus/flange) and return 1/4 to the fx return. Some amps have a blend knob that allows you to dial in the amount of fx with your dry signal. Some do not.
You can also try putting your modulation pedals before distortion. But it might not give you the same tone.
Hope that helps,
TGM

I don’t know if you can understand me, but the fx loop is probably a good solution

Fortunately, I keep mine on all the time, so I just adjust the amp volume to taste.
Let us know how the effects loop worked!
