just a quick amateur tip,

if you use your overdrive on your amp, placing the DMB on the effect loop of the amp makes a night a day difference.
i found when i placed my DMB on the ‘front’ with my other pedals, the clean sounded great, but as soon as i switched to my overdrive channel, BANG! Overkill!!!
so i placed it on my f/x loop and what a thing of beauty.
another think one can if you don’t have a f/x on your amp, bring the blend settings way down. the only draw back is if you switch back to clean you have to bring the blend back up.
of course this is my situation, and everyone’s setup and gear is different but if your having issues finding that sweat sound give this a try.
