just got it today and I love it. Not amazing but juices everything up in the right places and makes the big muff howl along with most of my other effects.
Couldn’t be happier with such a simple purchase and never would have guessed it would make as big of a difference as it does.

I built a pedal with an XO-LiBMP sized box with three knobs and two footswitches, it was two chained octave-up circuits (for footswitchable one/two octaves up), but it just wouldn’t work, I even went the extra mile of simulating it in software and it worked, but nevermind, that’s old news! I was wracking my brains thinking of what I could use the enclosure for, cuz it looks PIMP! Anyways, I ended up with the simple idea of two LPB-1’s. I don’t already have one, and I’ve seen loads of reviews like this one saying that they don’t simply boost your signal, but improve your whole sound, filling it out with extra harmonics (and all that stuff!). So, has anyone chained these before? If so, what does it sounds like with two in series?

January 26, 2011 at 10:26 pm #114017KartoonHeadMemberWell it’s gonna have a master volume knob, so I could crank both LPB-1’s and then trim it to a respectable volume, and see if I can get some sort of overdrive out of it, the first one going full tilt into the second is bound to overload the second circuit and create some sort of distortion.
Spose it’s kinda like going LPB1 > LPB1 > Signal Pad.

Also, you can gang the 2 channels on the LPB-2 and get really fat overdrive. And also potentially blow up your amp, of course.
Anyway, sounds like a fine idea. Be careful with the master vol!
March 22, 2012 at 7:00 am #117178JACSTRATMemberHere is my first post on here way cool! I just got my LPB-1 today. I played it through my 78 Vibro Champ and it woke up the VC! I used a 50s classic series Strat and a Highway One Tele to test it out. It did not take much to get a good sound. Tomorrow I’ll try it with other effects combined through a 94 Pro Junior and a NOS Blues Junior. My first device ever was an EH Muff Fuzz back in the late 70s. Like an idiot I traded it away. I’m glad they have a reissue. I will probably get the double muff. I want to see what my Deluxe Strat and my 98 Les Paul sound like through it. I’m very impressed with the LPB-1 so far. I want to see how well it works with other devices.
