Just acquired this new Holier Grail pedal and the Gate is messed up (using the original power supply). It sounds like the gate is on an LFO and only pops on for a second once every cycle (of like 5 sec or so). It won’t do anything else, except when you change the rev, you can hear that it’s different for that second it’s on. Does anyone know of a fix for this? or….
I took a look inside and the PCB says something like holy grail + golden gate. Got a bit of DIY experience, so was wondering if maybe the gate part can be separated from the reverb part—really love the Rev. and would rather not just gut it for parts if possible…
thanks
……you know there are modes that don’t use the noisegate, yeah? does it still pop in those?
No, the Gate off, reverb, reverb+direct knob doesn’t do anything at all. The only way I can get the popping to go away is with the Blend knob turned all the way to dry. When I play through it I’ll get the Reverb tale every 2nd pop—like a squarewave LFO, on and off.
