I picked up a Big Muff Pi yesterday at my local store. the tone is great! I really love this pedal, but I lost the screw for the battery compartment around the back. does anyone know the size?
does this pedal suck up battery life? If I live it plugged in accidentally, will I find it dead after about an hour or so?
I also bought a Nano Clone, which is quite nice, but I’ve decided I’d like the Small Clone instead. Problem? My local store doesn’t accept returns. Can EHx do anything about this?
November 18, 2010 at 1:21 pm #112644The EH ManModeratorTake the Big Muff to your local “mom & pop” hardware store and they can set you up with a new sheet metal screw.
As for the return, I don’t think EHX can do anything about that but you may have legal rights depending on where you live.November 18, 2010 at 1:22 pm #112645The EH ManModeratorAlso, if you leave the Big Muff plugged in long enough, it will drain your battery. For an hour or so it shouldn’t make much of an impact.

As for the return, I don’t think EHX can do anything about that but you may have legal rights depending on where you live.I did some searching and found a post on the forum that claims that the size for the screw is
#4 x 1/4
I went down to the store and bought some that are #4 x 3/8. Works like a charm! I was afraid it would be a little too long but I unscrewed the casing of the pedal to be sure the longer screw wasn’t poking anything or scratching any component and it’s perfectly fine.
As for the return… I think I’ll keep it.
I played around with the Nano Clone for a while and decided I’m for it. In the future I will pickup the neo clone and small clone and decide which one suits my needs best, I’ll probably sell the others.thanks for the help!

Definitely! The Nano Clone is the black sheep outta the Clone Family. The Neo clones is really close to the Small Clone and I’d recomend it if you’re not thinking about tweaking the Small Clone (Since it has bigger components you can “customize” it’s sound to your liking). Specially because of the footprint.

Yeah, I rushed on the decision. I probably would have taken the neo clone which ive heard “is the exact circuit” as the small clone.

I’m going to have to wait for another one because my pedal board isnt too big and the small clone would take up some serious space.
does anyone know if the neo clone really is the same but smaller?
