Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Bass Microsynth Problemo Fellas
I’ve wanted to post this question for a while now,
but I’ve kept forgetting. My problem lies in finding
basically equal volumes with the microsynth engaged
or disengaged. My main bass is a music man bongo 4 hs.
It has an 18v preamp in it so this bass is LOUD.
Now, if I adjust the gain pot so that the microsynth
is approximately the same volume as bypass the sound
will actually cut out for the first second of each note.
I can pull back the gain enough for this not to happen, but
if I do this the microsynth becomes WAY too quiet.
Any suggestions guys? Is a volume pedal my only saviour?
Or is my pedal defective? Thanks to those who respond.
PS. This may be the greatest thing I’ve ever purchased if this issue is resolved.
a compressor would be what i’d try before a volume.
otherwise a boss LS-2 to ‘preset’ your volumes to the ones you need [have it on A-B mode, microsynth in one of the effects loops, just a patch cable jumpering the other.]
Got an optostomp before the microsynth.
Figured it out.
I just ran it through the effects loop, and now it sounds like a beast
